Greyboy Allstars roll into the Castro Theatre on Friday at 8 pm, the veteran San Diego crew built on Hammond groove, jazz chops, and deep-pocket funk. Karl Denson’s sax and Robert Walter’s organ lead tight, conversational jams that stay earthy and danceable. The band still treats a room like a club, pushing boogaloo and soul-jazz into long, unhurried builds that hit with warmth instead of flash.
